Retailers are accelerating web delivery times to keep up with Amazon, which promises free two-day delivery on millions of products to an estimated 63 million Prime customers in the U.S.

When it comes to delivery times, U.S. retailers are playing a catch-up with leading online merchant Amazon.com Inc., which captured 33% of U.S. online retail sales in 2015, up from 25% in 2012. Top U.S. retailers are making strides, at least when it comes to shipping online orders, a new Internet Retailer study finds.
